Antique Chinese Chest - Fabulous Asian Box - Handpainted Collectible

This is a beautiful Chest. Fabulous gift.
• Wood covered in (appears to be) leather and lacquer painted. The leather has some wear and tear and some scratches and scuffs.
• It's very heavy and sturdy, well put together.
• Black with gold and black Auspicious designs
• The are Birds on the top
• The Tea pot/cup and flowers in vase on the front
• It has brass hardware - a hinged lock on the front which includes the key like locking mechanism.
• Handles on the ends with little brass bumpers
The back hinge is not visible but there are sturdy side slide hinges (rarely found in these chests).
• The interior is covered in Chinese characters (writing) and drawings
• The lid fits over a recess and raised internal box.
• measures approximately 12.25" wide x 7"long x 7.5"high
