Vintage Chinese Etched Brass hinged box with Character Color Accents.
This one really catches the eye! Beautiful rare vintage piece with lacquered red color relief character accents. Accents are featured on the cover and sides. Attractive patina on the brass with floral etched designs and metal hinges lid. Inside features a cherry stained wood finish all assembled by hand. The container had use for storing incense cones and earthy meditation items. The red interior compliments the color of the brass well. The outer brass features minimalistic etched floral design.
Added to the brass are lacquered red hand carved wooden Asian characters, accents and balances exterior and interior of the container . Beauty and balance, medicinal and meditation purposed item.
Solid late 19th century Qing dynasty artisan craftsmanship. Excellent representation of Qing dynasty history and a great addition to any Qing enthusiast collector. Well cared for and maintained, museum quality.
