    Description

    *Solid lacquered wood box with hinged top and brass fittings
    *Painted outside with Chinese characters, on front, top, sides, back
    *Lined on the inside with paper decorated with Chinese characters
    *"Carp" shaped decorative brass lock and key
    *Very good condition
    *Unsure of age of box.  Was purchased for me in Hong Kong
    *Box measures: 18" x 6" x 6"
    *Approximate weight: 5 lbs.
    *I believe it was originally meant as a paint brush box, but we just used it as a table decoration.
