Vintage Chinese Cloth Dolls + Wood Trunk w Smoking Divan San Francisco Chinatown

Description

Two Vintage Chinese cloth dolls - a couple of smokers. The wood trunk between them has a decal that reads "SMOKING DIVAN, CHINESE QUARTER, SAN FRANCISCO". Both of these seated dolls are holding pipes.  The trunk's reference to a San Francisco Chinatown smoking divan is probably code for Opium Den. The inside of the trunk is lined with black velvet, and has a box clasp closure. These are 3 separate pieces. You could put whatever you want inside of the trunk.

Good vintage condition. The trunk shows more wear than the dolls, as there are stains and areas of loss
of the
decals. The box clasp closure of the trunk also does not function properly to click closed, although it closes and opens easily. The dolls have a bit of dust as well as normal vintage age wear.
