It is an intriguing piece, but does have these problems. The top has some discoloration/grey tones, doesn't appear to be mold but something discoloring we're unsure of.

    Dimensions: 6" width x 4.25" length x 2 5/8" height (with lid) This item made in China features a dark lacquer on this wooden trinket box- with red and black, subdued browns, and a scene of children playing in a sort of courtyard under a tree. There are no identifying markings on the piece. This item has been previously owned and is in great value condition with chips and wear throughout- see the issues on the lid particularly in terms of broken areas, and the inner lid/inside of the box chips, and the base also having chips. It is an intriguing piece, but does have these problems. The top has some discoloration/grey tones, doesn't appear to be mold but something discoloring we're unsure of.
