Description

Vintage Chinese porcelain covered round box for seal paste. Cover painted with enamels depicting a scholar’s hut on a rocky outcrop, pine tree, sailing boat and a distant mountain. Good quality detailed painting, traces of cinnabar seal paste on the unglazed parts on the inside, spurious 4-character Qianlong Emperor mark on the bottom. In perfect condition, nice piece for a scholar’s desk. Diameter 2 3/8 inches.
