Vintage Chinese Wood and Brass Square Jewelry Box
The box is in very good condition with no loss to the brass fittings and only minor dings and dents to the wood from use and age. The lid is hinged and when lifted has a compartment lined with paper and Chinese writing. The latch sits flat but does not hold securely. There is a small drawer in the middle of the box (4 1/4"x 3 1/2") that slides out and is also lined with the same paper. The drawer has a brass ring and there are two rings on the sides and one on the top. I think the wood is rosewood but I'm not positive. It's about 6 1/2" tall and 4 3/4" square. It has four wooden feet. See Pics.
