VTG 1960s Pewter & Brass Duck Covered Trinket Dish Box Handcrafted Hong Kong
Beautiful handcrafted pewter and brass duck is perfect for your desktop or library book shelf. The body is solid pewter and the eyes, feathers, and decorative rim applied and stamped brass.
Crafted in Hong Kong in the 1960's this covered trinket dish/box holds paper clips, rubber bands, business cards, jewelry, or whatnots.
In excellent condition, it is stamped on the underside "Made in Hong Kong" with the original item sticker.
5-1/2 inches long, 4-1/4 inches high, and 2-3/4 inches wide.
Great gift for someone who appreciates Asian handcrafted pieces, loves statement pieces for their desktop or stack of books, needs something to corral paperclips, or loves ducks.
About the Estate
From the estate of a man with Scandinavian heritage that traveled extensively throughout Europe, North America, the Pacific Islands, and Asia. He had a keen eye for great craftsmanship, artistry, and mid-century modern design aesthetic. Pieces from his estate are in either new/never used condition or have been kept in exceptional shape. This most likely would have been purchased sometime in the late 1950's or 1960's. He was the original owner.
